2-Tank Morning Dives in the Pacific

Diving off of Kona was different that our previous diving experiences in the Caribbean. The beautiful soft corals and sponges of the warmer Caribbean were missing, but there were many new and endemic species of fish, which was exciting.

This was the morning after the Manta Ray dive and I had yet to shed the thrill of the previous night’s excitement, but I was looking forward to sharing the adventure with my partners, both of whom proved to be excellent divers.

We did two dives, each with a fresh tank of air and at a different dive site. Below are photos of some of the fish we saw as well as snapshots of two well-hidden octopuses.
