Annual Summer Reunion in Ithaca
We always look forward to the weekend in July when Jani’s brother Kent, and his wife, Francesca, host a summer reunion at their house on Cayuga Lake in Ithaca. We were concerned that the reunion might not happen this year since Kent had broken his femur on a construction site in the spring. True to form however, Francesca took care of Kent’s rehab and pulled off the reunion – as we should have guessed.
It was a smaller get together this year but no less fun and very relaxing. As always, the climax was on the last night when we all enjoy a ‘fire on water’ display. Our nephew Kent flew in from Seattle with his fiancée, Siobhan. It was a great chance for members of the family to get to visit with them, since not everyone can make it to Hawaii for their wedding in February.
