April visit to mid-coast Maine
In mid-April, Jani and Gary drove to Maine to visit Jani’s sister Marti, prior to her hip replacement procedure, and to partake in Marcus’ 3rd birthday celebration. It was also the first opportunity to meet niece Ruth’s other son, Gavin, who was born the previous June.
Ruth and Chad hosted the adult gathering, which included Ruth’s mom (Marti), her husband Paul, and Chad’s mother, Tracy. A children’s party was scheduled for the next day.
On the return drive from Maine, Gary and Jani stopped for a visit with Uncle Mark in Cranston RI. It was a short visit, but, as always, a chance to spend some time with a favorite family member.
