We feel fortunate to have family with whom we look forward to spending time. Most years – but obviously not in this pandemic year – we get together for a summer reunion at Jani’s brother Kent’s house, on Cayuga Lake in Ithaca NY. Then, in November, we gather at our house in Bantam CT for Thanksgiving.

Between these annual events, we keep in close contact though visits, emails, phone calls, and now Zoom calls.

This year we also shared some family time on canoe trips to the Adirondacks and to the Boundary Waters. We also visited Maine to see the newest member of the family, Gavin Jay Holbrooke, born in June to Jani’s niece, Ruth, and her partner, Chad. Jani’s older sister Marti, and her husband Paul, moved to Maine in March, and we visited with them during the same trip.

Through this blog, we will try to keep family updated, whether they are in the places mentioned above or in San Diego, Las Vegas, the Bay Area, Southern California, Sweden, Canada, New York, Georgia, Florida, Nepal or Virginia.
