Thanksgiving, redefined for 2020
For the last 12 years, we have hosted 20-30 people for Thanksgiving at our house in Bantam. It has been one of the highlights of our year. This was not possible during a pandemic, as most of the usual guests decided to stay safe, staying home.
We were disappointed, but it also made the holiday a lot more manageable. Instead of weeks of rigorous cleaning, juggling beds, moving furniture to accommodate folding tables and buying extra provisions, we had a low key, very personal Thanksgiving meal with Austin & Nicole’s family, which was delightful.

We also took part in a Zoom call to stay connected to some our relatives who could not attend.
